According to the Department of Energy, hemp as a biomass fuel producer requires the least specialized growing and processing procedures of all hemp products. The hydrocarbons in hemp can be made into a wide range of biomass energy sources, from fuel pellets to liquid fuels and gas. Biofuel could reduce our use of fossil fuels and nuclear power.

Hemp grows well in a variety of climates and soil types. It is naturally resistant to most pests. It grows tightly spaced, out-competing any weeds. It also leaves a weed-free field for a following crop. Hemp can grow without herbicides, fungicides, or pesticides. Almost half of the agricultural chemicals used on United States crops are put into cotton. Hemp can replace cotton which is usually grown with massive amounts of chemicals harmful to people and the environment. 50% of all the worlds pesticides are sprayed on cotton.
Hemp produces more pulp per acre than timber, and can be used for every quality of paper; the long fibers in hemp allow paper to be recycled several times more than wood-based paper. Hemp can replace wood fibers and save forests for watershed, wildlife habitat, recreation and oxygen production, reduces global warming and other values. Hemp can yield 3-8 dry tons of fiber per acre. This is four times what an average

)
When a light bulb earns the Energy Star it means that it met strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the US Environmental Protection Agency. Lighting products that have qualified for this high ranking deliver exceptional features, while using less energy. Saving energy can help you save money on utility bills and help out the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere.
An Energy Star qualified light bulb saves about $6 a year in electricity costs and can save more than $40 over its lifetime. This type of bulb also meets many strict requirements and uses about 75% less energy than a standard bulb and lasts at least 6 times longer. One of these bulbs produces about 75%

Here are some simple things that can help your family, as well as your environment, have the best year yet! If Christmas last year was filled with toys and gadgets, make it a point this coming year to avoid gifts that use tons of batteries, yet add no value to your lives.
Planning holiday or birthday parties is also simple for making a quick fix toward being eco-friendly. Try collecting reusable food jars for kids to drink out of, to avoid plastic or paper disposables.
Even apart from the holiday season, there are plenty of easy things that families can do around the house to be more resourceful. The idea of reusable grocery bags is becoming more popular, and the truth is, if all of us

More schools and businesses are recycling, more vehicles are equipped with flex fuel, windmills are being used to produce energy, water bottles are made thinner to use less plastic, and there are electrical cars being produced.
)
The Chevrolet Volt is one of those electrical cars. It doesnt use gasoline, but it uses batteries that constantly need to be charged. That takes a large amount of electricity and producing electricity still causes pollution. Though you dont have to pay for gas, there is still a cost for electricity. With these facts and the high price of the car, ask yourself, is it really worth it?
Windmills are a good way of producing energy. In some areas where the land is flat, or there is a lot of wind they are very helpful. However, around here not so much. Many of us have seen the windmills on the top of the hill in Mt. Iron. I cant help but notice that they usually arent spinning very much. With the money it takes to build the windmills, and the low amount of energy being produced by them, I dont think they are doing enough to pay themselves off, or produce enough energy.
Ethanol is another questionable subject. As most people know E85 Ethanol is made with a great deal of corn, so much that it has caused food prices to go up. Ethanol is a form of alcohol that is added with fuel. Ethanol is known to damage plastic and rubber parts in the fuel system of most cars. It contains a certain amount of water that can cause

I’m also interested in having a style that I can call my own. One might ask what these two topics have to do with each other. While the answer might be hard to come up with, there is one. I’m n
